Verbind je GitHub account en repositories met TurtleApps.
Connect your GitHub account to Turtleship to enable seamless code integration. Turtleship can work directly with your repositories, creating branches and commits automatically.
Connecting GitHub
To connect your GitHub account:
- Go to Settings → Integrations
- Click "Connect GitHub"
- Authorize Turtleship in the GitHub popup
- Select which repositories to grant access to

💡Permissions
Turtleship requests only the permissions needed to read and write code to your repositories. We never access your private data beyond what's necessary.
Repository Access
You can grant access to:
- All repositories — Automatically includes new repos
- Selected repositories — Choose specific repos to connect
You can change repository access at any time from your GitHub settings or from Turtleship.
How Turtleship Uses GitHub
Once connected, Turtleship can:
- Read your codebase to understand context
- Create feature branches for changes
- Commit AI-generated code
- Open pull requests for review
- Sync deployment status
✨Branch Protection
Turtleship respects your branch protection rules. Changes are always made on feature branches, never directly to protected branches.
GitHub Organizations
To connect organization repositories, an organization admin must approve the Turtleship GitHub App. Contact your admin or request approval during the connection process.
Disconnecting GitHub
To disconnect your GitHub account:
- Go to Settings → Integrations
- Click "Disconnect" next to GitHub
- Confirm the disconnection
⚠️Impact of Disconnecting
Disconnecting GitHub will prevent Turtleship from pushing code changes. Existing projects using GitHub will need to be reconnected or switched to managed repositories.
